After finishing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Georgetown University, Dan Smink went to Colorado. There, he founded RefractROI after seeing the great need of small businesses for digital marketing support. He has led the strategy and marketing efforts for large healthcare providers like Centura and multinational medical device companies such as Covidien, McKesson, and Thermo Fisher.

In his most recent client-side role, Dan led Covidien’s Global Market Strategy effort for its abdominal surgery market. He found ways to expand the business from $200 million to $1 billion. His client-side experience constitutes significant work for all kinds of companies, from those with less than $1 million to those with greater than $40 billion. For all of these companies, he has led efforts to resolve his clients’ problematic business situations and return them to a state of growth.

Dan is also active in his community. He has been appointed by two separate Denver mayors to help lead the Board of Directors of local non-profit organizations. As chairman of the Mental Health Center of Denver (MHCD), a healthcare services company, Dan’s leadership and guidance helped grow the organization from $25 million to $50 million in less than three years.

Rodney joined RefractROI in January 2019 with a passion for helping start-up and small businesses grow. His focus is developing a network of national partners and deep relationships with firms seeking exponential growth for their portfolio companies.

With over 30 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, and business development, his experience includes consumer products and medical devices. Rodney has held commercial roles in multi-national corporations, such as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and Covidien, LLC, along with four start-up companies with two successful exits. Most-notably, Rodney led the launch of minimally invasive surgery for women’s healthcare and surgical products with a combined market valuation of exceeding $3.8 billion today.

Rodney is a volunteer mentor for graduate-level students in the McNeil Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Colorado School of Mines. He completed his undergraduate studies in marketing at Washington State University and completed the Johnson & Johnson Advanced Management Program at Northwestern University.

A marketing veteran of over 12 years, Tyler has leveraged his traditional marketing skills to develop himself as a recognized digital marketing thought leader. He has developed the best practices, systems, and communication mechanisms to realize client’s marketing goals with RefractROI’s services. Today, Tyler leads internal team engagements, optimizes the delivery of existing services, and regularly consults with internal and external stakeholders on digital strategy and execution.

After graduating from Arizona State University, Tyler started his agency life and eventually led the online marketing efforts for consumer retail, medical software, and commercial services. Relocation to Colorado in 2013 led to his engagement with RefractROI (formerly RefractROI), and has served as the VP of Networking for the Colorado AMA, taught Digital Marketing courses with General Assembly, and currently serves on the board of directors for a start-up application development company.

Tyler has held certifications in Google and Hubspot for the last ten years. In addition to his career, Colorado has brought him a family, an outdoor landscape to photograph, a great bowling average, and still terrible golf swing.

Regan graduated with a Bachelor’s of Journalism from the University of Missouri, where she studied Strategic Communications. Armed with expertise in Public Relations and Content Management, Regan went on to serve small and mid-sized businesses. With a laser-focus on achieving short and long-term business objectives, she carefully crafts and executes comprehensive marketing initiatives that get brands in front of the right buyers.

Working across industries, Regan has honed a healthy respect for data. She collects, analyzes, and leverages granular information to align innovative, digital marketing tactics with consumer behavior to drive meaningful results and measurable ROI.

When she’s not optimizing online experiences, Regan spends her free time teaching young athletes cartwheels and confidence by coaching and judging gymnastics.

Zac is a well established web developer. He takes pride in helping his clients achieve their business and marketing goals. As RefractROI’s Web Manager and Senior Developer, Zac takes great care to assist not only the client, but the whole team in delivering top-notch digital products that get results. Web development can feel like carrying too much laundry without a basket; Zac’s approach is to simplify projects and use modern development techniques to produce websites that are agile, modern and elegant.

Before joining RefractROI, Zac earned his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts, and Bachelor’s of Physics from the University of Colorado at Denver. Zac is an astronomy enthusiast, bicycle fanatic, runner, dog lover and for the most part, a rather chill dude. He currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with his partner Kelsey and two dogs, Winnie and Nova.

Zachary Lemmer is an experienced digital marketer and SEO specialist. He takes pride in helping his clients achieve their business and marketing goals. As a Digital Strategist, his responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing the tactics that are going to move his clients forward. In addition to his primary role, Zach has experience in all facets of digital marketing including paid search, web design, and conversion rate optimization.

Prior to his tenure at Refract ROI Zachary earned his Bachelor’s of Marketing degree from MSU Denver, and holds several certifications from Google and HubSpot. As a life long learner, Zach is eager to grow his expertise as he consults and executes on marketing initiatives in a variety of different industries.
